- 每次上課後,請任課教師簽認「上課出席證明單」。
- 完成正式選課後,應依規定將出席證明提供予正式修習之任課教師。
- 未依規定出示「上課出席證明單」者,依體育課程成績考核相關規定辦理。

Course Registration Guide
Information on Physical Education Course Registration and Retaking Required PE Courses
1. Physical Education Courses for Freshman and Sophomore Students
-
Class Arrangement
Physical Education courses for first- and second-year students are arranged according to the curriculum structure and course offerings of each program. The Day Program and Continuing Education Program have different PE course structures.
-
Changing PE Class Groups
Students who wish to change their PE class group must do so through the online course registration system during the designated real-time registration period. Changes are generally limited to PE classes held during the same time period. Students must continue attending the original class until the change is completed and follow the required procedure for transferring attendance records after the change.
-
Failed PE Courses
Students who fail a required PE course must retake the course according to the requirements applicable to their admission year and program. Students may continue taking subsequent-semester PE courses in accordance with the applicable course regulations.
-
Adaptive Physical Education
Students with disabilities, or students whose medical condition makes it inappropriate for them to participate in regular PE classes, may apply for an Adaptive Physical Education class in accordance with University regulations. Applicants should provide a medical certificate issued within one month by a public or private hospital or a National Health Insurance-contracted clinic, or a valid disability certificate, and complete the application during the first week of the semester according to the announcement of the Office of Physical Education.
-
Mid-Semester Transfer to Adaptive PE
Students whose physical or medical condition changes during the semester may apply to transfer to an Adaptive PE class if they are no longer able to participate appropriately in a regular PE class. An attendance verification document from the original PE class is required. Applications are accepted until Week 10 of the semester. Applications submitted after Week 10 will not be accepted, and the student must continue attending the original class.
-
University Athletic Teams and Adaptive PE
Members of University athletic teams, including students admitted under athletic talent or performance-related admission arrangements, and students enrolled in Adaptive PE do not participate in regular PE group selection. They must, however, complete course add/drop procedures in accordance with University regulations.
2. Required Physical Education Courses and Credits
Required PE courses are determined by the student's program and admission year. The Day Program and Continuing Education Program have different PE course structures and credit requirements.

Continuing Education Program: Freshmen take PE (1) and PE (2), while sophomores take PE (3) and PE (4). Each course carries 1 credit, for a total of 4 required PE credits.
Note: Because the two programs have different course structures and credit values, PE courses from the Day Program and Continuing Education Program generally cannot be directly transferred or substituted for one another. Any special arrangement must follow the University's applicable regulations.

- Students retaking a PE course may select an eligible class and activity through the online real-time course registration system during the designated registration period.
- Students requiring cross-program enrollment, credit substitution, or other special arrangements should follow the latest announcements and procedures issued by the University.
4. Retaking or Substituting University PE (3)/(4) for Eligible Day Program Students
Students in the Day Program who were admitted in AY 2020–2021 or earlier and are still required to complete University PE (3)/(4) under their original curriculum may retake or substitute these courses in accordance with the University's applicable regulations and the latest announcements issued by the Office of Physical Education.
Since the Day Program no longer offers required University PE (3)/(4) from AY 2022–2023 onward, eligible students may use the following arrangements when applicable:
-
Continuing Education Program:
Students who meet the University's cross-program enrollment requirements may take PE (3)/(4) offered by the Continuing Education Program.
-
Summer Courses:
Students may take an applicable required PE course offered during the summer session, subject to course availability and University regulations.
-
General Education Credit Substitution:
Students may use an approved practical course in the General Education “Sports and Health Promotion” area to substitute for University PE (3)/(4), subject to the University's credit-substitution rules.
- Credits used for substitution may not be counted twice toward General Education graduation credits.
- Students must complete the required credit-substitution application in accordance with the procedures of the Office of Academic Affairs.
- Students admitted in AY 2018–2019 or earlier (A107 and earlier) must also complete the applicable physical fitness assessment requirement.
5. General Education “Sports and Health Promotion” Courses
Beginning in AY 2021–2022, the former “University-wide Elective Physical Education” courses were incorporated into the General Education “Sports and Health Promotion” area.
- Students may take one PE-related General Education course per semester.
- Registration procedures are subject to the University's General Education and course-registration announcements for the current semester.
- Students should register during the designated online registration or real-time add/drop period according to the course and semester.
- General Education “Sports and Health Promotion” courses are different from required first-year PE courses and should not be treated as substitutes for required first-year PE unless specifically permitted by University regulations.
6. Attendance During Retake or Cross-Program Enrollment
Students who are retaking or taking a required PE course across programs must attend one PE class per week until their course-registration procedure has been completed.
- After attending the class, students should ask the instructor to sign the Attendance Verification Form.
- After completing the official registration procedure, students should submit the attendance verification as required to the instructor of the registered PE class.
- Failure to provide the required attendance verification may result in a deduction in accordance with the University's PE grading regulations.
7. Cross-Program PE Enrollment
Cross-program enrollment is not automatically available to all students. Students must meet the conditions specified in the University's course-registration regulations and obtain the required approval before enrolling across programs.
Examples of eligible circumstances may include delayed graduation, graduating students who must take a course because of a schedule conflict, transfer students who need to make up a course that conflicts with their current course schedule, students pursuing a minor or double major with a course conflict, or returning students whose original course is no longer offered.
Note: When courses offered by different programs have different credit values, students must follow the University's procedures for credit adjustment or application. Students should not assume that courses from different programs can be directly substituted for one another.
8. Physical Fitness Assessment and Graduation Requirements
|

The physical fitness assessment is not a graduation requirement. It is conducted as part of the required first-year PE course, and the assessment score accounts for 20% of the final course grade.
|
|
Students admitted in AY 2025–2026 or earlier who are subject to the previous requirement
|
The applicable physical fitness assessment and graduation requirements are determined by the student's admission year and program. Students who remain subject to the previous graduation requirement must complete and pass the assessment in accordance with the applicable regulations.
|
Physical Fitness Assessment Items:
- Cardiorespiratory Fitness: 3-Minute Step Test
- Muscular Endurance: 1-Minute Sit-Up Test

Please refer to the latest announcements issued by the Office of Physical Education for assessment dates, make-up testing, exemption procedures, and other related information.
9. Other Important Information
- Students must complete course registration, add/drop, and other registration procedures within the periods announced by the University.
- PE course offerings, class times, course names, and activities are subject to the current semester's course-registration system and the latest announcements from the Office of Physical Education.
- PE requirements may differ according to the student's program and admission year. Students should confirm the requirements applicable to their own status before registering.
